Once you get bots, a few storage (yellow) chests, where bots can put things they deconstruct or take out of your trash slots.īut the real fun comes when you research "logistic system" and get requestor (blue) chests and buffer (yellow) chests. The first trash system is just a dump iron chest(s). I've never actually done it, but in principle it should work as long as you make sure that you don't protect the trash base with artillery as that will eventually stop biter attacks. They'll push all the trash into the storage chests, which will be destroyed the next time biters attack and then the construction bots will rebuild it and you have another empty storage chest ready to accept garbage. Then you just have to unload the garbage trains into active providers. Make sure it and it's ilk outside the walls are the only storage chests in the network. At that spot put down a storage chest - make sure it's in construction bot range. From the direction biters come from and just out of range of the guns, put down blue belts pushing biters towards a single spot. ![]() Include self-repair via roboport and automated delivery of repair materials, including more robots. Otherwise you can stick it in a rocket and get rid of it one small bit at a time. If it's burnable, stick it in a closed system powered by boilers that can use all the power that can be generated.
